Ready for a TA brief? Questions about the GI Bill? Need some help deciding on a major? Looking for financial aid for college? Or do you just want some extra study skills? The M&FP Specialist at the Library provides a wide variety of educational seminars monthly. Registration is required.

The P&PD Education and Career Services Program is here to help you attain your educational goals. Services offered at the Education Center are:


Transition Readiness Program (TRP)/Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) provides career and job search assistance, occupational guidance and transition information to separating and retiring service members and their families. We provide assistance with resume preparation, interview skills, and a free career resource center. TRP also facilitates the Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS), which is required before separating or retiring from the military. Service members must contact their Unit Transition Counselor (UTC) to enroll in the mandatory TRS.

The Personal Financial Management (PFM) Program provides financial education, training and counseling geared to increase the financial literacy of Marines, Sailors and their families. Relocation Services: Your moving experience begins when you receive your Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Knowing what to expect and who to contact when you receive your PCS orders, will determine how ‘Smooth' your move is. Whether it's your first PCS or you're a veteran at it, Marine & Family Programs staff is here to help. Our office maintains the most current and up to date information about Navy and Marine Corps installations, and can help make your move to or from Japan as ‘Smooth' as possible.

Information and Referral: The Marine and Family Specialists are available to provide individualized one-on-one assistance to assist with individual readiness and personal development. The Marine and Family Specialist are also available to facilitate/coordinate unit and group training to include Personal Finance, Language and Culture, Transition, Relocation and Individual Effectiveness workshops.
